Senior project engineer – plant engineering (all genders)
As a senior project engineer, you play a crucial role in delivering high-quality technical solutions to our customers. Your main task is to oversee the planning, installation, and commissioning of the systems and facilities we provide. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires technical expertise, project management skills, and a strong commitment to achieving excellent results.
Responsibilities
- Develop project plans, schedules, and cost estimates in collaboration with the project team
- Create detailed documentation for facility planning, including piping plans, equipment specifications, instrumentation, control systems, and safety functions
- Select appropriate equipment and components for the facilities and systems based on project requirements, budget, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate technical proposals, review equipment data sheets, and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of facilities at customer sites to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards
- Provide training and services to customers, including training on the operation and maintenance of installed facilities and systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Capture and document project data, report on project progress, and identify deviations from schedules or budgets
This is you
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or a related field
- Solid understanding of industrial plant engineering, including conceptualization, installation, and operation
- Experience in the planning, installation, and commissioning of industrial plants, ideally in the oil and gas sector
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Willingness to travel
- Good command of the English language
- Understanding/speaking the German language would be very nice to have
